Introducing the Luxury Japanese Silk Albums

WOW!
That is all I can say really!!  Well it was my reaction when I opened the box yesterday to my new sample album.

This is a totally stunning 12x12" hand crafted album covered in Japanese Silk fabric.  This one is called "Steel Blue" but there are lots of different colours to choose from as well as Italian grade leather covers and four vintage "nabuk" leathers in yummy colours.
The prints inside are flush mount and of the highest quality as are all my printed products. You can choose to have a small print inside a cameo cut-out on the front too.
I really do feel that even though we live in a digital age it is so important to treasure the memories of your wedding day in a timeless album.  Having a disc with access to all of the high resolution images is lovely but nothing compares to having something tangible that you can hold & share.  An heirloom album will be enjoyed by generations to come but who knows how many memories will be lost on hard drives that can no longer be accessed.
If you would like to look at my wedding packages for 2012/2013 then pop over to my website www.samantha-j.co.uk and if you have already booked me to capture your wedding day & would like to add one of these beautiful albums to your package then just ask!

Snowy Fun - {Stourbridge Photography}

Well...love it or hate it there is one thing for sure...there is nothing like the white stuff to get children & adults alike up out of the house, hurling themselves down the hillside on pieces of plastic!!

As I look out of the window, the snow is already melting...such a difference from last year when it seem to hang around for an eternity! I'm not sure if we'll get any more this year so it seemed like too good an opportunity to miss yesterday....it was Sunday...it was my Husband's Birthday...& there was snow! Even big kids love the snow!!!!

Louise & Rich Engagement Shoot at the Custard Factory, Birmingham

Ok...so this is going to be an absolute treat for you today!!!

When Louise & Rich booked me to photograph their wedding I was soooooo excited...it's unreal!! Now I LOVE every single wedding I photograph but from an artistic point of view it's always nice when something that little bit different comes along...Louise & Rich's wedding is certainly going to be different! I was bowled over at the mention of halloween fancy dress at the reception, the wedding shoes having bats on them...BUT when Rich mentioned he was possibly going to be covered in UV body paint during the evening I nearly fainted!!

So..I knew that their engagement shoot HAD to be different..it absolutely had to reflect their personalities & as I had recently done a fashion/bridal shoot at the Custard Factory in Birmingham...I just knew it was perfect.

So we headed off one Sunday & had a fantastic time...these are some of their images & BOY I can't wait to photograph their big day!!!!!

Jo & Gus got married- Kingscote Barn, Gloucestershire

Well...we're on our last day of January already...where does the time go to???? So anyway I thought this would be the perfect day to share the wedding of Jo & Gus with you as they were my first wedding of 2012.

On the 7th January...when you would imagine it would be cold, damp & a little bit grey it was actually the complete opposite! The sun shone...it was fairly warm.. a really beautiful day for a really beautiful wedding.

The day began at Kingscote Barn, Gloucestershire where  I found the very talented Chris from Fordham Hair Design already at work & totally un-phased by having 5 different hairstyles to do...the man is a legend!  Jo's hair was inspired by Downton Abbey & suited her perfectly.

The Groom & Groomsmen were also at Kingscote Barn getting ready in the lovely cottage there. I'd like to give a massive thanks to my second shooter for the day Lucy Stendall for grabbing some fantastic images of them.

The ceremony took place at Kingscote Church...possibly the smallest, cutest church I have ever had the pleasure to be in.

Then it was back to Kingscote Barn for some formal photos before the stunning food prepared by Strawberry Field Catering. I highly recommend them & make to sure you ask to the the cake made out of a tower of cheese!!!!

One of the very clever Bridemaids also made this totally stunning sweetie table...by far the best I've ever seen!

The evening came to a close with the speeches followed by my first ever Ceilidh Band...what a great way to get everyone up dancing!!!!

So....what a great start to the year!
