Amy's Christening - St Leonards Church, Frankley

Yesterday I had the pleasure of being inviting to photograph the christening of little Amy. Now..there's a little bit of history behind this story because I was in the same class as Amy's dad at school. We hadn't seen each other for over 20 years & by the powers of Facebook we got back in touch & voila..here I was at his Daughter's Christening!

It was a lovely intimate service in the cutest church ever which I was reliably informed is over 1000 years old. It was also home to the most laid back vicar I have ever met who was more than happy to let me photograph the whole service which is really unusual.

We started off with all of the formal pictures, parents, godparents, grandparents etc but I just wanted to share a quick slideshow of the more candid moment from the day.

Manchester Florist - Hearts & Flowers

Just a quick blog post, I really wanted to let you all know about the lovely florist I met on Saturday at the wedding of Hazel & Aiden.

Manchester Wedding - The Bluebell Suite at the Joshua Bradley

Couldn't wait to share some of the images from Hazel & Aidan's wedding yesterday at the Bluebell Suite at the Joshua Bradley in Manchester.  A very suitable venue given the time of year & yes...we got some pics with the bluebells!

The sun was shining & although there were thunderstorms forecast they didn't appear so it was a perfect day.

Pastel colours & polka dots were the theme of this wedding (including the dress!!) Hazel & Aidan had put such a lot of effort into the details of the day & it all looked amazing. 








Hazel arrived fashionably late but we had so much fun in the short time it took her to get into her dress & shoes etc....

We just had time for a few portraits of the bride before heading to the ceremony. Hazel opted against the traditional full length dress with train & went for a 50's style polka dot dress...........gorgeous!!

 As the sun was setting, this wedding turned into one of the most fun wedding that I have ever attended.........Ushers playing football & Bridesmaids on tree swings!!!!

Wedding at Clearwell Castle, Gloucestershire

On Thursday I had the pleasure of photographing Phil & Katy's wedding at Clearwell Castle, Gluoucestershire.  It was a lovely day with such a great atmosphere & I would like to thank Phil & Katy for asking me to photograph their big day.  The weather was perfect for telling their story.

Family Photoshoot at Himley Hall, Dudley

I had to tell you all about what a great day I had on Sunday....

This is the third time I have photographed this family & I love it every time. We decided on Himley Hall for the location to the photoshoot & it was such a good choice, so spring like. There were 9 family members in total & I really felt part of their family for a few hours, we had such a great time. So here are a few of my favourites. Enjoy.......

Time for a Change

Those who know me fairly well know that for me to be trul inspired in my photography it has to include people. I'm a people watcher by nature & find reactions & emotion between people fascinating. So today with the weather being so lovely, I was out walking & looking at all the new flowers & blossom appearing, I decided it was time for a change...

I looked back through some of my images that I've taken in the past, ones that I never got around to editing because...well I didn't think they were that great because they weren't portraits. I looked at them in more details & decided that..actually, they're quite nice!!!

So here they are...I also made a promise to myself to take more pictures of the things around me & to see the beauty in things other than people.
